Little Lambs Co-operative
Mothers Day Out Program
103 W. Columbia Street
Falls Church, VA 22046
Room 235
Little Lambs is a Christian co-operative mothers day out ministry that offers parents one or two "mornings out" each week, as well as a support network of other families in the program. Little Lambs staff and parent volunteers provide a safe environment in which children learn social interaction, creative play, and biblically-based values.
Little Lambs parents typically work in the classroom once or twice a month, depending on how many days their child attends. Parents work together to facilitate each days activities. A typical morning at Little Lambs involves free play, craft and snack time, and play time outdoors or in an indoor playground.

Eligibility:
Children who are 12 months of age (and walking), but not yet 3 years on the first day of the session are welcome to enroll in Little Lambs. For example, a child who turns three in March may join the winter session which starts in January, but not the summer session which starts in June. Enrolled children may participate until they qualify for preschool (3 years by Sept. 30).
Parents must be flexible and available to work in the classroom when scheduled. Working parents are welcome as long as they are available to perform the co-op responsibilities. Babysitters, nannies and relatives (other than the parents) may drop off or pick up, but may not work in the classroom.
Commitment:
Little Lambs parents are required to work in the classroom approximately 2 or 3 mornings per session for each day of the week enrolled (i.e., if your child attends Tuesdays and Fridays, you will generally work 5 or 6 mornings in a four month session). Parents are also assigned 1 or 2 days per session on which they are on call in the event that a Lambs employee is late or absent.
Little Lambs parents also serve on a support committee (such as curriculum, cleaning committee, organizing supplies, planning social events, etc.), and may be asked to perform other volunteer duties as necessary.
Families enrolled in Lambs are given priority registration, and a wait list is maintained for each session. To place your child on the wait list, click here to fill out the required information. Final rosters are generally completed one month prior to each session's start. Families who are admitted into the program shall complete registration & medical forms, submit fees along with a $100 deposit (see handbook). Full-session tuition is due by (or before) the first day of the session. In addition, any parent that works will need to submit a confidential criminal background check to Kris Solberg (CDC Director) & have a TB test, or provide proof of immunity within the past year.
